My 12-year-old Lhasa Apso is shaking and glued next to my side. She won't move under any circumstance.
New Year's and the Fourth are a hassle for owners of nervous dogs.

Mine are fine because I have a couple of real man's dogs: pitbulls.
Have fun with your gay dogs OT.

Dog (German Shepherd) is currently snoring on the floor in front of me. He doesn't GAF about the fireworks.

My lab woke us all up in a crying panic during the fireworks. Guess it's our own fault for falling asleep early on this particular holiday.

I am really kind of surprised how many dogs are afraid of fireworks and thunder....it is amazing that we find any dogs to train as hunting dogs.

One of mine bolted out of the gate about 45 minutes ago. Slipped right behind me as I was bringing the garbage can in from outside the fence. Haven't seen her since :(
I've got a few of my used shirts on the porch and some food and water.

Well training dogs and raising them around guns is completely different than an untrained dog heading random explosions and freaking out

I took my dog out to the skeet range once and he chewed through his harness to get away. He loathes anything he thinks has anything to do with firearms.

That sounds like abuse.

I felt so bad. I have to put him in my bedroom to even bring them out of the safe.

Growing up, I never heard of a kid allergic to a peanut or a dog that cowered at the sound of fireworks.
Now 4 out of 10 kids will die if they see a peanut, and half the town goes nuts at the 4th and New Years because their "fur babies" are upset by fireworks.
Pussification of America, grumble, grumble...I bet Teddy's Roosevelt's damned dog didn't ... Seriously? a damned peanut? ... bunch of horseshite.
