This bothers me more than anything. Retards, like the OP, make arguments that are blatantly false.

They don’t understand that doctors don’t charge them for prescriptions like that.

At least with your Skyrizi you don’t have to worry about the sudden onset of diarrhea from your pooping disease anymore

Man with medical insurance and prices these days I’d run it first before paying anything significant.

Go to the companies website and get their copay card for the drug. Its probably $0 if the drug is covered by your insurance.

Fortunately and unfortunately I'm very well aware of what biologics can cost for psoriasis. For a lot of insurances, unless you have the arthritis, it is not covered. Unfortunately, I have the arthritis as well. Biologics did change my life though, went from about 25-30 percent covered to no psoriasis patches what so ever. In a lot of people's eyes, I went from a disgusting leper to a human being.

But yeah, bullshite didn't you just "get charged" 28k. There are so many resources to burn through first.

If it was a one dose pen that's about right for the street price. If it was from a vial it has 4 doses for a little less than half the cost to the physician and should be much cheaper. Nobody really pays what that price, its a big shell game and you might end up paying $25 out of pocket with the manufacture covering the brunt of the cost.

Skyrizi

I just looked this up. Looks like its used to treat 4 different things.

You can't just put some calamine lotion on it?

Is calamine lotion still a thing?

Is there a generic for Skyrizi? I don't think there is.

AI Overview
No, there isn't a generic version of Skyrizi available currently. Skyrizi (risankizumab-rzaa) is a biologic medication, made from living cells, and therefore cannot be replicated exactly like traditional generic drugs.
Instead of generics, biologics may have similar versions called biosimilars. However, Skyrizi is not currently available in a biosimilar form. The earliest a biosimilar version of Skyrizi may be available is in 2031.
If you are concerned about the cost of Skyrizi, you can explore potential savings options, such as discount programs or manufacturer assistance programs. You should also discuss with your healthcare provider if there are other lower-cost treatment options or alternatives for your specific condition.

My wife takes Cosentyx for psoriasis. I think we’re charged like $9,000 per injection but with our insurance we end up paying about $600 every four weeks.

ETA…for some reason, the 9k counts against our deductible, so we meet our yearly by the end of January every year.

Get on the skyrizi website and download a copay card. Present it at the pharmacy to buy down the copay as much as possible.

Nope, there still is some good looking drug reps, but not like back in the day. It all stopped in 2002 during the Bush administration.

All of the bio-logics cost literally a fortune, but they will quite literally save some people’s lives. There is almost always a manufacturer’s program where if you can’t afford the drug, they reduce it to what your insurance will pay. Surely, the doctor’s office checked on that before they administered it. If you can stay on it, it will work.

I just got mad because my partial prescription (5 pills) cost $20 when all 30 costs $15. Pharmacy is short so I pay way more? Nope not gonna do it.

That's odd. This happens to a prescription my wife has and the pharmacist doesn't have enough for the entire prescription. They give me what they have and I pay for the whole thing and go back th next day or two and pick up the balance.
