My daughter just got punished for not apologizing to a balloon

Dear Facebook diary, Shes 3. Sometimes when she throws a fit her arms start flailing and she hits people. To end this we decided to make her aware that anytime she hits anyone/anything it hurts and she should feel remorse. The victim today was a 4 foot tall Christmas blow up decoration of Minnie Mouse that wouldn’t give up her candy cane. An overhand right ensued, the wife adamantly demanded an apology from a confused toddler, and I left the room with a conflict on conscious. 30 minutes later she’s in time out and it looks like an apology is coming shortly.

If you don’t get control of a three year old and nip it in the bud, you can expect a life of shame and remorse.

Ignore the redneck trash here who think smacking her in the face is better parenting than teaching her why her actions were poor choices.
