You know, Chick-fil-A is a strange phenomenon in my observation of the place. I clearly remember the Chick-fil-A located in Cortana Mall back in the 80’s, as they were in most malls back then, and I probably ate there a hand full of times if that. It just really wasn’t that big of a deal back then. It wasn’t packed with swarms of humanity, and there was no cult following to write home about. Same basic product they put out back then, but it was just another place to eat when you were at the mall. Now, it’s most surely a cult following, and if you pass any one of their restaurants at pretty much any time of the day you will be greeted with ridiculously long lines and people salivating to get their hands on their unbelievably heavenly delicious chicken sandwiches.
It’s pretty strange when you think about it, but I gotta give it to them in their business plan going forward. The minute they got out of the mall and opened up stand alone brick and mortars with drive thru’s, and so started to compete with real fast food failures in product and service they came alive, and even more so in my estimation when they took stands on issues that were important to people, thus galvanizing a following. They figured this shite out, until well, they didn’t.
All in all though, there are a lot of people who live on this stuff and I think have hyped it up so much because quite honestly they just don’t know any better, or don’t cook much, or are young and weren’t raised with good home cooking, and so this has become the pinnacle of food in their lives as a result. To me, it’s a sad indictment on a sizable part of our society that has been let down.

Relative to WHAT? Other fast food? OK, and I’m fine with Chick-fil-A’s chicken, but it’s really just chicken that doesn't suck, and it’s convenience. Other than that, I can list a lot of places with equally or far superior chicken sandwiches and chicken in general, most of which comes out of my own damn kitchen, and the rest from local establishments. I think perhaps people have hyped this place up a little far beyond what it actually is. It’s still just a place that serves chicken, and I can clearly do without it in my life if need be. I did for the vast majority of my life, and can quite easily do it again.
THIS... people who grew up in Louisiana who think Chick-fil-A has good chicken always makes me laugh... McNuggets better...

what did they do now? Donate to a church again?

It’s going to get to the point in the very near future where it will be impossible for a conservative to boycott every company or corporation involved in movements that they do not agree with, because almost every company is being swept away.

Imagine if this Christian owner would have said to wash their feet.
Imagine the backlash. Holy hell.
What kind of Christian would lead by that example.

Well living in Birmingham I can understand. Alabama is a wasteland for mediocre food options

I don't give a shite what any companies politics are. As long as the above is true, then I will support the business.

I specifically remember going to a chick fil a when I was a kid, taking one bite and thinking it was disgusting. Maybe it was a completely isolated incident, maybe they changed how they make the sandwich and it led to a better product and this massive following....I don’t know. But I do know it took me a LONG time to try it again.

Now skip it(fast food) the other 6 days and you won't need to have your leg amputated when you're 50.

Why should I give a shite if he washed feet?

The guy is literally practicing what he preaches, or what Jesus preached, and people are upset with him.
