What radio do you have? The Uconnect system is capable of being hacked and there is an update/recall out for our cars(Challenger RT owner as well).

Uconnect
How's it being hacked in a field by itself in the country?

I'm assuming you don't know how hacking works thinking that it being in it's own field means anything.

I know how hacking works. I also know how hackers work. What's the point of hacking a car no one has access to?

just asking that question tells me you don't know how hackers work.
hackers just hack shite cause they get bored. also some assholes hack shite just to piss people off. or they do it just to see if they can.

If I remember correctly, you have a 2010 deep water blue RT right? You aren't in the recalled list but if they can hack the new Uconnect, chances are they can hack yours as well

It's a Dodge. Just be glad it isn't smoking with 4 flats when you walk out.

Press the remote start button on the key fob and make sure it has that popping feel to it. If it doesn't, that's your culprit. I have a ram with that same style of key fob and the contact for the remote start button was messed up...truck kept starting itself.
It's a little dome shaped piece inside the key fob under each button - it can come loose and once it's loose even a light press of the button can activate remote start.

I have a Challenger and this has happened to me once also. One of the guys at work told me my car was running in the parking lot. i thought he was messing with me. I went out there and low and behold my care is idling in the parking lot. I t has never happened again, but it was weird.

IF its remote started, it won't run longer than 9 or 10 mins before shutting off and it can't be started again by remote if it reaches the time limit.

i would bring back to a dealer asap...frick that, what else is it going to do all by itself while your driving?

The car has become self-aware.
It is clearly planning to leave you. Don't make this any worse than it already is.
Buy a Hyundai and consider yourself lucky.

It's a Fiat, see if there is a RMA option like on the Ram's.
