So NOT everything’s better with Bluebonnet on it.

Got it.

Hopefully they consider returning with corporate stores. They had a ton of business, especially on Nicholson, so they have the clientele even if they couldn’t play nice with the franchisee.

Back in the early 2000's it was a great place to go. I was the 56th pluckers member. Watching Mens Basketball beat Duke there was so much fun.

I’ve eaten there since 2006.
The Nicholson location was still good overall imo.
The bluebonnet one was awful for all of the previously mentioned reasons.
Went to trivia weekly at Nicholson, so I’m very bummed.

I hope so.

I much prefer Pluckers over BWW.

Went there for dinner the Friday before the Bama game. Place was dead, and our server was terrible. Food was fine enough, but I was shocked they were still open with such a small crowd on a big game weekend and with bad service. This news was unsurprising unfortunately.

Confirmed. Both locations are closing, including the one across the street from where the new arena is going.

They may open another one somewhere but I bet it will be corporate owned and not franchised.

I agree that the service any quality declined while the prices went up. They were there for 20+ years and not much invested in the locations since then.

True.

But that is a long way from where they are today.

Almost certainly what will happen. Probably not far from their Nicholson location.

It’s nationwide.. Inflation is a bitch.

And yeah commercial real estate costs are higher than you’d think for Baton Rouge too. Just not enough roads, so a lack of appropriate new commercial and retail zones at any given time.

Press Release

quote:

Pluckers is proud to have been a part of the Baton Rouge community for the past 21 years. As the only franchised locations in operation, the two stores were up for renewal. Our focus is to always deliver the best environment for our guests. During renewal discussions, we requested a number of upgrades to the franchised stores. After many conversations with our franchisee over the economy and the increased costs to upgrade, together we determined that the best decision was to close these locations. We are sad to end this chapter, but we remain excited about the future of Pluckers and our continued expansion.

So many potentially decent (or at least tolerable) chain places in BR are just ruined due to service

So too many DEI policies and hires? Wal mart ended their initiatives.
