I wanted to name her "Pain in my Asset" but my wife said NO. We are kinda leaning to "Zips Good lookn Asset"

Mine outgrew his nurse mare fast!

She was a draft cross of some sort but not big at all. He's now about 16.2 and still growing. Knees are still open so he's turned back out.

We had a claimer for a short time named bad asset. Loved that name.

the first foal we got out of the broodmare (since we've owned her) had really bad turned out knees. so they fixed that, but he still has some room to go before they close. my dad has an xray planned for next week to see if he cant start training hard.

really good blood line and its my dads first race horse from foaling through training so our fingers are crossed! we need to get lucky

eta: the guy before had some really bad luck with her, so my uncle and my dad got her for a really good price...0

Thankfully he's got great legs, just not quite mature enough for hard work yet because he's still growing. Hopefully cutting him will help slow that down a bit. It looks like this will be my only home bred to run.

How are yours bred?

Vet is coming this afternoon to check things out - I will get some pics then. Left them alone to rest and relax.

they are thoroughbreds, going into racing. i dont think artificial is allowed in LA for that.

RIP,
thats our first foal with her laying down, probably close to 2 years ago.

Please don't do that to your horse. Just put her down yourself if you can't keep her. Those horses go through hell in those Mexican slaughterhouses. Sometimes they can't get them across the border and the broker will dump them somewhere to starve to death. Google Laurel MS horses - that's how your horse could wind up. Contact some rescue groups in your area - someone will take her.

K. That's my favorite. I can spend hours looking through yearling catalogues. I'm a dork.

What a cutie! I love all the white. I love babies.

Husband got to spend the day at darley yesterday. He did not send me enough baby pictures. I mostly got stallion shots.
