I've got a propane fridge in my outdoor kitchen that I remember being out on the porch of our hunting camp as a kid.
I'm 54 now and that thing is still going strong.

I have a Kenmore that I bought in 1997 that is still cruising along. Use it for keeping my Cokes cold and some frozen things. I think I paid around $400 new.

I had the same thing happen a couple of years ago. My son told me to buy a new $12 relay start capacitor.

Changed it out and saved me a thousand or so.

Goldstar was a Korean brand that devolved into LG. I think they forgot how to make reliable fridges in the process.

In my experience. When an old fridge dies most of the time its the relay and you can get a universal one for $20.

Goldstar, also known as Lucky Goldstar or LG.

My least favorite brand.
