Calling out BLM for not doing anything when this isn't even related to their cause just strikes me as silly.

"Your mission" is thrown out the window when something like this happens.

I've seen companies like Tide and Duracell send resources to LA to help. Their mission is to sell their products. They would still sell their products whether they helped out or not. Taylor Swift and Lady GaGa donated to relief efforts. Their mission is to sell music. People would still buy their music whether they helped our not.

Nowhere in these company's names is the term "Lives Matter" but they went out of their way to help people.

I understand that BLM is extremely unpopular here and that I'm going to get downvoted to hell, but this line of attack on BLM is ridiculous

The BLM "movement" started to protest the fact police are killing black people right? In 2015 1199 people were killed by police, 574 of those people were black, which is 48%.

quote:

Almost 1,200 people, mostly minorities, killed by US cops in 2015. US law enforcement officers killed up to 1,199 people last year, the majority of whom were 'people of color'. According to the open-source reporting project Killed by Police, 574 of those who died were minorities, 511 were white, and 107 undetermined.

So based on these numbers people take to the streets and protest "black lives matter"? If black lives matter, instead of protesting and causing chaos, why not use that energy and motivation towards much bigger issues? Do you understand why people call out BLM?
