No point in prosecuting a guy who will never regain cognitive function.

I was thinking they might be keeping him alive to clear organ transplant from next of kin?

No way he comes back from a bullet to the head.

There's extenuating circumstances that are taken into consideration. It's not as cut & dry as you might think.

If he really was a pedophile, then good for him to having the balls to kill himself. He realized he was human garbage, and he acted appropriately. frick him and may he burn for acting on it and ruining a kid's life.

Does not recommend the charge of murder... But that is up to the grand jury.

How often does a grand jury go against what the DA advises?

Any prosecutor worth his salt can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich.

This article explains a lot.
LINK
Also no one seems to have mentioned that the note says
"They do not get to take Scott".
Why would Hodkinson (or Scott) think that Scott would be taken- unless they knew he was guilty of crimes. They knew he was going down because of these allegations from the UK that as this article states were made to federal agents a year ago.

Believe it or not, Tony Clayton is an absolutely excellent trial lawyer. He's fair, practical, and can make a jury dance for him.

If he's says its not worth it, I trust him. And I've been on the other side (and on his side) in cases a few times.

Damn good lawyer.
