It seemed the defense was trying to slide in "signs of a struggle" which the witness corrected and said wasn't in her report.

But the presence of mystery hair in the dead woman's hand... which the police apparently didn't collect and test... is just another question the prosecution needs to answer for and quickly

That is quite telling. It seems as if his story about checking their pulse and his sons phone falling out is to cover that he maybe tried to take his cell phone and last minute decided not to.

Blaming the undercover FBI that worked their farm is odd. He said he bragged about killing radical black panthers.

What was an undercover FBI agent doing being a farmhand? Did he hire him as a patsy and pay him very well to be a farm hand?

This is all so crazy but his pristine shirt after confessing to touching rolling over the dead bodies may be the thing that fries him.

What is everyone's thoughts on motive? He was protected in power his whole life. His corruption and theft exposure was in his rear view mirror. So he killed the 2 for life insurance policy money because he was near being broke?

Thanks.

This case is so convoluted and all over the place. It is hard to follow.

Even in the DM article there was a tweet showing the son arrive TO SUPPORT his father. When his son has said supposedly he will testify against his father.

If the report didn’t include signs of physical confrontation/struggle…. then mystery hair seems less relevant to the murder

Location next to dog kennels, could be dog hair.

Well, she face no explanation as to why she noted there was mystery hair in her report and had not followed up on it. That’s a big thread that’s unexplained and defense will likely harp on

Murdaugh is so fricking dumb. I've seen street urchins who had better plans than that bastard.

Alex isn't exactly dumb, but he is no brilliant attorney either. I doubt he is convicted of these murders, but his financial crimes are going to keep him in prison.

It is simply laziness. The Murdaughs have been getting away with anything and everything for a century so why waste the time on a plan?

He knows law, but apparently doesn't know much about anything else.

Tiny bubbles, and all that.

Greed. Most people let wealth and power change them. Those that don't are super human in todays world..

He pursued the things most important to him with incredibly naive ideals.

I would say conditioning over lazy, but that is what you meant. He was never able to see past his own nose if that makes sense. He was never held accountable for much of anything, and bragged about that to anyone who would listen.

I believe you’re correct, that there were upcoming things soon with at least the boat and theft matters.

So look at the evidence that Court TV has uploaded, I'm assuming these are the flip flops that Alex was wearing when he found his family:

He says that he tried to flip over Paul and tend to his wife to see if they were still alive. Now, the way the scene has been described there would be blood and in Paul's case brain matter all over the place.

Why is there not a drop of blood on his flip flops?

I thought the (now deceased) wife was wearing the flip flops and Alex had tennis shoes on

The jury is asleep right now

Or maybe all the paper being rustled into a microphone is keeping them awake

Nothing but wasted time right now
