I don't think Mel Gibson actually read those articles. Most of them are about thimerosal, which isn't even allowed in vaccines anymore

Correct.
I haven’t had to really ask for preservative free vaccines or flu shots in years as they’ve made a big effort to phase out thimerosal.

I do not have children, but to me, it is not rocket science to figure out "something" has changed in the last 50 years that are causing higher rates of Autism. What changes have taken place with regards to vaccines?
- 50 years ago, in the 1970s, researchers estimated that 2 to 4 children per 10,000 had autism.
- In comparison to the 1970s, there are currently 50 to 100 times more autism cases diagnosed.
The prevalence of autism in the United States has increased by over 1000% since 1970, from 1 in 5000 to 1 in 36
-----------------------
eta:
Vaccines given today that were not given in 1970
Hepatitis A:
The first inactivated hepatitis A vaccine was licensed in 1995. It was recommended for all U.S. children in 2006.
Hepatitis B:
The first hepatitis B vaccine was approved by the FDA in 1981.
Human papillomavirus (HPV):
It was recommended for all U.S. female adolescents in 2006 and male adolescents in 2011.
Meningococcal:
It was recommended for U.S. adolescents in 2005.
Rotavirus:
It was recommended for all U.S. children in 2006.
Other vaccines that are given today:
Hib conjugate vaccines
Varicella vaccine.

I think its odd that it literally tells you why the prevalence has increased directly below where you pulled those numbers from, but you just chose to ignore that

In the 1970's autism was directly associated with Schizophrenia. It didn't become defined as a developmental disorder separate from schizophrenia until 1980. Definition has been growing to include more disorders under the umbrella of autism ever since.

Seriously? This is what you're saying is I should focus on? This bullshite?
Why is autism increasing so much?
Autism rates are increasing due to a combination of factors, including:
1. increased awareness
2. improved screening tools
3. broader diagnostic criteria.
These factors have led to earlier detection and more diagnoses.
ETA:
Don't focus on the 7 ADDITIONAL vaccines given today that were not given 50 years ago.

Multiple studies showing vaccines CAN cause autism

Don't be a retard, vaccinate your kids.

Occam's Razor.
It's not the vaccines. It's the fact that we have rightfully changed the diagnostic criteria in the DSM from being a part of schizophrenia (that's how it was labeled until 1980 with the DSM-III) to an actual diagnosis itself with a spectrum of symptoms in 1994.
What we used to do is throw people with Autism in asylums and labeled them as "slow". Now we understand that you can be high functioning with ASD and that there is a spectrum of symptoms dependent upon frequency and intensity.

Dude, Elon musk, Elon fricking musk is now autistic. There are TONS of other people just like him who are defined as autistic as well
Never ever ever before would that have been the case in human history. It’s the most important reason why “autism has increased”

oh wow guys I have no idea why the prevalence starting spiking in the 90s
its such a mystery

There is a pro tennis player that got to top 50 in the world recently that has “autism”
Meanwhile, you could have had a complete non verbal struggling person on 1960 that would have simply been called “retarded” or “slow” and moved on

It's kind of like the "well Autism didn't exist until the 90s" comments and then in another thread someone mentions their reclusive 65 year old Aunt who lives with her 4 cats, has issues with food textures, and has a 30,000 deep Kewpie Doll collection.

Can’t wait until DoGE turns on the lights on deceptive funding which benefits big Pharma.

the first study in the OP was funded by the Dwoskin family.
A few notes on the Dwoskin family:
- The Dwoskins are contributors to numerous Democratic political causes and campaigns, including those related to former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who have each personally attended fundraisers at the Dwoskin’s home in Virginia.
- He is the chairman of Catalist, a for-profit corporation originally funded by George Soros that specializes in microtargeting for Democratic political campaigns.
- Claire Dwoskin formerly served as a finance vice-chair for the Democratic National Committee, and has been active in Democratic political efforts.
- The Foundation also funds Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), which does left-leaning legal advocacy work, and Media Matters for America, critic of conservative media, two organizations associated with controversial Clinton family-associated Democratic operative David Brock.
