Who says the parents didn't do that?

If you're not willing to assume that responsibility, don't buy the kid a gun.
So should any parent that let their kids take karate class be criminally responsible if they child kicks the crap out of someone else? Where do you draw the line?

What crime did the parents commit?
It isn't my job to figure that one out, hoss.
If they didn't commit a crime, then they shouldn't be charged. If they're charged and their actions don't fit the charges, then they will be found not guilty.
That doesn't change the fact that I believe there should be appropriate charges they can face.

I'd say the fact that 3 days after they bought it for him, he took the gun to his school and killed 4 people with it, and wounded a few others.

The kid took the gun to school and killed people. Clearly, they didn't do that.

I agree with this. I took hunter's safety before I was ever allowed to hold a real gun. I also received a lot of training from family members on safely using a firearm. There are far too many idiots that don't understand guns that are in possession of them these days. Everyone should have some basic instruction on the proper use of guns and how they operate before owning them.

Are you incapable of understanding the difference between actual law and what I believe the law should be?
fricking hell, you're an idiot.

Involuntary manslaughter because the parents had a gun available to their juvenile child to use without supervision of any kind. It's reckless and irresponsible as frick.
Have to agree. If we charge parents who have guns out that a toddler picks up in the home and shoots themselves this isn’t a whole lot different.
We desperately need more parental responsibility. Period.

What is precious is that you truly believe you've won some sort of debate here.

So you thin they should be charged, and they are charged. But I'm the idiot here for saying you 100% think they should be charged?

I said, near the beginning whatever this exchange is, to charge them and let the court sort it out. You've since gone on some gotcha goose chase that no one seems to understand.
