Damn that’s terrible. I worked with a man that had a son in a bucket lift try to push away a high voltage power line with a 2 x 4. It exploded his heart.

Without specific reference to the cited story, which is sad, it is amazing how the heavy equipment rental places will just rent massive equipment to any idiot who walks in the door.

Had a good friend electrocuted to death this way. He was apprenticing with an electrician installing some runway lights at an airport, grabbed what he thought was a dead line. They said it pretty much burned him to a crisp and the arc came out of his head. One thinks he would definitely have known better, but I guess if you let your awareness down even for a moment it can get you
