I'm in that picture with the gorilla inflatable. That was 2014, absolute mayhem. That was really the last year it was pretty much unregulated, over the last few they've started implementing all kinds of crap. First, it was pay for your spot on the beach, ok I get it, helps offset the cost of cleanup. Next year it was having to register your spot before hand and pay or you had to take down your set up every day, whatever. Then they banned amplified music (might be partly responsible for that, sorry) and now they just emailed and said unless you're staying at the Phx X you can't bring a cooler with you and you have to buy booze at bars they've set up on the beach. I'm guessing the crowds and the trashiness got out of hand and they're trying to reel it in a little, but it's still disappointing to see it get neutered like this.
Haven't been in a couple years and doubt I'll go back, but we had a hell of a good time when we did do it.

I went on a LSU football charter trip that was coordinated by Maranto. Dude has some weird connections and I have to give him props. He is in pleasant company and not sure how he does it. The dude is the opposite of a stud and the type of people he hangs out with are your “club” types. The bus ride was a shite show.
