Does PNS offer a direct to CLT?
They were going to but sometimes it can be awfully difficult to find CLT from PNS…
Or anywhere else, for that matter...

Any idea what the prices might be like?

Brgfather129- you'll still make the usual Memorial Day weekend trip, right?

The gas prices what they are and the rise in domestic flight costs, flying to either of these places for pleasure purposes would be plain retarded.

The terminal destinations for CLT and PNS are Sembach, Germany.

Pensacola?
By the time you park, clear baggage, catch the plane, disembark and make it to your destination, I can guarantee your friend who drove can have your beer waiting for you when you arrive.

I know there was another airline who added BHM to Lakefront flights to start this summer as well. I think the flights were $189 round trip.. I'm not 100% sure. Basically it costs about the same as driving. Not sure it is worth the hassle of getting cabs in both locations or parking at the airport though.

Just bring some noise cancelling headphones or earplugs and quit being a crybaby. You will be semi-uncomfortable for about an hour instead of 6-12 hours.

Those Birmingham flights will be key for those of us who have business there. That 5-hour drive absolutely sucks.
Yeah, those of us in Bham really miss that Southwest direct flight to New Orleans. The drive down isn't that bad but that drive back is the absolute worst.

FWIW MSY will also start flying Southwest Air directly to Costa Rica.
Now THAT is some good news.

I feel like I've had a stop in Birmingham on a Southwest flight in the last few years out of MSY.
Maybe I'm hallucinating. Only had 1 cup of coffee.

Silver Airways delays its flight plans in Birmingham
I am guessing those $800 round-trips were too steep. LOL. Idiots.
That being said, a viable air option needs to exist between NOLA and Birmingham.

Why Pensacola?
You can drive it way shorter than going to the stupid airport.
