But you still chose to only parallel driving a car…which involves moving several tons of metal around. If you don’t stop at a stop sign, or ignore a turning/winding/merge road sign, you WILL damage property and the chances of you hurting yourself and others are extremely high. Everyone is required to pay for perhaps the most expensive common insurance product because of this.
Vaccines, and to a greater extent masking, have been used to divide and control beyond their actual medical usefulness. It’s crazy this even has to be debated. Historically, creating an enemy is the best way to motivate large groups of people.

It's been a very prominent point of why mRNA tech is so awesome for months and months, here and all over. Yes, it was a very dumb argument considering now we know (and many knew back then) that the variant boosters seem to trail the actual variant coming and going by a year or more, but it's weird to act like that wasn't a massive talking point. Back then calling those people dumb got you some hostile replies. I guess people finally recognizing how dumb that line was while pretending that was always the case is as good as we'll get. Better than nothing.

What’s never lost to me in these threads is that no matter how dangerous you think the Virus is and to what extent you think it’s societies job to combat it, People wake up excited to find news that the vaccine designed to save lives doesn’t work just to “win”.

Considering a lot said they wouldn’t get it until the FDA gave full approval and now won’t get it with FDA having given full approval, it’s pretty obvious that they don’t give a shite about it being tested or untested.
It’s about being right.
And the same is true of people who are pro-vaccine. It’s no longer an issue of medical science for boards and threads like this. It’s an issue of an attempt at intellectual one-up-manship or superiority, even if making one’s self look stupid is the price to be paid. Because they at least get a pat on the back from their buddies.

The government is now and has been for decades inextricably imbedded in our data. And, perhaps more dangerous, corporate America has been, too, which gives them access to all our fears and desires. You want to talk about overreach and control? Just take a look at the ad banners you see on this website. Tell me they aren’t targeted at you. Tell me they aren’t manipulating you into buying certain products, looking at certain websites, helping you to create your own digital cocoon into which you and others can scream your ideas until out of that cocoon emerges Antifa or Proud Boys. Perhaps the biggest problem is that the control only goes to further the chaos in the world. Because it isn’t control for the betterment of society, at least not in the context of corporate control, but control for the betterment of their bottom line.

“ Agenda “ or not , regardless of how you and I feel about the vaccines ( we mostly agree I think) , we have always understood in America that Individual Liberty trumps State directive. That’s our DEFAULT setting. You do you and I do me. That was our national identity until 15 minutes ago. Let’s conserve that.

Except for in times of National crisis. Hence the draft, the taking over of the steel production companies, the mandating of masks, rationing, etc. You’re right. It is the default. But that doesn’t mean the nation hasn’t gone away from the default previously. Not to say it should do so here, but your argument in and of itself does not hold much water.
Just wait for them to say you can only flush when you shite because we’re in a water crisis. That will be fun.
