I would actually prefer Uptown as well. Don't feel like dealing with condos, no parking etc. But that is just a personal preference. I understand why the Warehouse district could be exactly what this guy wants.

Those are the "true lofts" that are badass that you see in movies. The cheaper ones the call "studio lofts". They are still nice with the exposed brick etc etc but they are like 600 sq ft. But for a single dude it would still impress the ladies

Lakeview > Warehouse district. Though I would suggest Old Metairie too.

I mean...I personally would rather live in Lakeview. But I'm in my mid-30s, I'm married, and my going out days are well, well behind me.

If I was single, and my rent budget was 2k a month, I sure as frick would be living in the WHD or SMD.

Uptown near that particular stretch of Magazine with Tracey's and Rumhouse and Bulldog and all that would be pretty damn cool for a young single dude. Slaying college chicks at Rumhouse.

I lived in the WD back in 2009-2010. Two story 3 BR was $2,500 Right across from the Cotton Mill at a building with no name. I'll call it the "Orange Squeeze" building.

Anywho, was great living there.

Besides the nearby places, I really enjoyed grabbing a 12 pack from the gas station, then walking to the Quarter. By the time we got there, we were ready to go.

Well that is the reason I thought the rent was so much higher.

I'm paying $1900 for a 1 bedroom in Houston right now. Gonna talk to the wife tonight
