Well I'm out.

But I will say this: the museum downtown is perfect for a kid a little older than yours, start saving for private schools now, and if you and your wife are approached by multiple police officers then they kidnap her, force you to leave and rape her, just let it go. The DA doesn't take that very seriously.

Go with Prairieville/Gonzales and take Hwy 70 over the river (or the ferry).
Best bet for you to avoid traffic and has you near South BR where anything you might want to do in BR is located.
Also keeps you far away from North BR - which is always good.

Dude, when the cops start fricking with people who aren't college-bound black men, it's time to get out.

Technically the site is in Plaquemine but it's pretty much White Castle. Don't anyone suggest Donaldsonville, won't even stop for gas in that city.

Been working nights at the new construction Shintech for about 3 months now. Tired of never seeing my family. Hence the move. Haven't been in the business long enough to really be picky about where I work and the money is good.

Depends greatly upon your budget. What is your price range?

Moving from Seabrook to Baton Rouge will literally be one of, if not the toughest thing you ever do in your life. Baton Rouge is a wasteland.

I like living in BR, but if your working in West Baton Rouge, I'd suggest living in Brusly or Addis. That traffic isn't worth it.

If you just have to live in EBR, I'd suggest looking at Riverbend, Springlake, Inniswold or Kenilworth to help your commute. Hope you like sitting on ferries or bridges.

Level Homes is building some reasonably priced housing in part of The Island Golf Community. If I was working on that side of the river, I would have to live there. Traffic on the bridge is just too bad.

Murder suicide with your wife. You'll be much happier that way.

Trying my best to keep rent around 1500 a month. I'll have to look into some of these places yall are naming. Appreciate all the advice and warnings.

Know it'll be tough but it's by no means a permanent move. Won't be here whenever the little man is school aged.

Yeah, people that live here are still trying to figure that out as well.

Lol I'm coming from Houston. The traffic is pretty similar in the fact that it's a crapshoot every day.

I know you're used to loops (610, Beltway 8).... there's not one in BR.

Seriously, hope you find something that works for you and the fam.
