Moving back to BR and seeking opinions on best services around town.

I would like to hear the O-T's thoughts and opinions on the best internet/cable providers in BR, the best security monitoring service, and the best veterinary in town.
I hear so many mixed reviews on all.

Internet: Cox and AT&T. Id go with Cox if you want faster service.

LOL
Just waited 90 days for Cox to bury a new line in my yard. Then they left my junction box open, the pill box two houses down from me open, and left the old line sticking up 4-inches out of the ground for me to find out about while weed-eating.
Reached out to them on Twitter, Twitter DM, Facebook, Cox.net Chat, and their local #. Nothing worked. They got there when they got there.
Via Twitter DM their @sshole reps told me they had to wait for 2 permits from the City I live in in order to bury the line. I called the City Permit Office, spoke with the Permit Official and confirmed that was a bald-faced lie. Confronted them and they didn't care.
In summation: @ the Cox recommendation. Eff those punks. Eff up against a wall. With handcuffs on.

He's talking about the Internet speed. I don't think either of those companies are any different with customer service.

Even with all that shite you listed, they still have the best Internet service.

never said their service was good just on the basis of speed they are superior to AT&T. If the OP is living in Ascension area then he could go Eatel.

Two choices: Cox and ATT. Cox offers much higher speeds at the same price points and I would go with them.

I bring my dog to AVS on Greenwell Springs. Much cheaper than Jefferson Animal Hospital (I used to go there out of convenience, but much more pricey) and I have yet to encounter a problem with anything I've needed from them.

Does Cox cap their internet usage?

No longer the best deal in town. Their prices have gone up and they are located in an odd part of town for most folks that live in SE BR. That traffic on Airline is oppressive and not to mention their waiting room is always chock full of people.
