Dude, my kids love elf on a shelf. We have done it for years. Years ago, they loved to get up and race to find where elf was new each day.
Today, as teenagers, they still love the tradition and help move ours around each night.
It is pure and fun.

We dont post pics on the webs.

I gotta say her having the elf be injured and not able to move for 2 weeks is a great idea for lazy parents

I think the elf is super creepy and will fight having it in my home tooth and nail. But if I am blessed with a child and they ask me with their big sad eyes where the elf is....I bet I will go run out to Target that day to go buy one It will just be a clumsy elf that is injured all the time so can't move much.

Look at her knees. And legs. There are plenty of small girls posted here everyday that aren't "fat bitches" but don't look like sharp points either. Dumb woman.

Stupid shite that vapid moms make the holidays about themselves rather than actually be fun for the kids. They pose the elf in what they think is clever poses when they just copied someone from Pintrest. Then post it all over social media as a pathetic attempt to garner attention.

You sound like a very happy person who definitely won't shoot up his office.

Again...you are just so used to fatties as your norm that you have forgotten what a normal knee looks like on a tall and slender woman.

Sorry you're mad because someone thinks Elf on the Shelf is a stupid fad. I guess it seems life is easy by being a sheep.

We hate that fricking thing. Complete bullshite and aggravating. I don't even remember how we got roped into this. Our oldest (10) keeps asking if it's real or not (I think kids at school are talking) and we're real close to telling her.

They barely seem to care unless we take the time to put it in some elaborate pose/scenario. Whoever invented this thing needs their arse kicked.

On Xmas, the good kids get present from Santa, and the kids who have been naughty have their souls eaten by the elf. Its pretty weird if you ask me.

Yes...and how many good kids were actually eaten due to questionable elf judgement?

Maybe some of that.

But they've had a trying few years. She likely garnered attention initially because she's got a child with brain issues and there have been support pages related to that.

A lot of parents in those positions tend to become obsessed with social media and the like (making the situation a source of attention for themselves), but I'm not sure if it is fair to judge them harshly when plenty of people without those issues do it to an even worse degree.

I'm a little jealous of the person who invented this thing. Looks like its $30 and millions of household across the country have purchased one, with more buying each year.

Easy money for cheap looking elf doll and book.
