Holyoke Police Lt. Jim Albert told 22News, 35-year-old Tara Lee Lehenry and 19-year-old Brianna Lam, both homeless, were arrested last Thursday after an investigation into prostitution and drugs linked to “Backpage.com”.
Detective Brendan Boyle, who lead the investigation, reported that both women had outstanding warrants for their arrests and were known to police through on-going drug and prostitution arrests in Holyoke.

After negotiating a “financial arraignment,” a meeting was scheduled at the Springfield Inn in West Springfield. Lt. Albert said when the mother and daughter walked through the door, they were immediately arrested without incident.
At booking, officers found several bags of heroin on Lehenry, Lt. Albert said. She was charged with 6 Outstanding Warrants, and Possession of a Class “A” Substance, Heroin. Lam was charged with 5 Outstanding Warrants for her arrest.
Detectives from the West Springfield Police Department assisted in the arrest.
