To truly do a deep cleaning detail job on a vehicle where every single spot is looked at and not just a quick wipe down, is costly

It’s gonna take most of a day for someone to really do a good job.

I wouldn’t do it for less that $500

$125 which I do not do for my vehicle.
I do it once sometimes twice a year for my wives vehicle.

There are an incredible amount of variations to the job and not enough detail on what was quoted.

$750 may actually be cheap depending on what’s being done.

In Lake Charles, you take it to Mr T. $125.00. Car looks brand new when he and his crew are done with it.

And he's a great guy.

I’ve seen interior & full exterior w/clay treatments going for as high as $500 for large SUVs, but wow $750 is high unless they’re doing some crazy shite. What type of vehicle?

Guarantee that was putting on a ceramic coating which requires you to clay and at least polish the vehicle and that probably is the low end number at most places

Most I ever paid was around $75.00 and that was for a large SUV. I am aware of one exotic car shop that will charge around $1500-$2000, for a showroom type detail...

I have a guy charges about $200, it literally takes about 6 hours and my who recommended him says check the gas cap area - that damn thing is even cleaned.
Once he does the initial cleaning he charges $100 how often you choose.
I only use him for my weekend car.

I own a mobile detailing business and in this business you get what you pay for. A professional detailer is going to charge more per hour/job because they know their worth and are confident in the results. When I quote a price to detail a vehicle I look at the condition of the vehicle, hours it is going to take do complete the job, cost of supplies, gas, etc...I always try to make a minimum of $75 an hour. Yes you can go to the guy that is going to do a "full detail" in 2 hours and completely screw up your vehicle. I have had quite a few clients come to me after taking their vehicle to the $100 full detail guy and have me fix their mistakes.

You left out quite a bit of information. I’ve been detailing as a serious hobby for around the past decade and never quote until seeing the vehicle in person and discussing the owners expected outcome first.

$750 likely includes fairly serious paint correction and your vehicle will looks better than new. If this includes ceramic coating it’s a mid-tier price depending on the vehicle (which you also left out). I don’t break the buffer out for anything less than $300 and that would be a quick single stage pass.

What's all included? Is it just a inside/outside wash? Is he doing any kind of paint correction? coatings?
