White guilt folks won't set foot in this thread. Their self-loathing is why gerrymandered majority-minority districts exist in the first place.

Oh a "both sides" guy.

It can't be resolved until racism isn't required by federal law.

Let me know about all the Republican minority majority districts.

Pretty fricked up when the former governor of Texas can’t get more than 28% of the vote in a congressional district in Texas in a general election for POTUS.

It is a "both sides" issue and one of the major reasons our political system sucks.

The worst thing that ever happened was minority districting.

Back in the day, a congressman had to listen to that 30% of his district as most block voted and would normally vote for the incumbent if he at least gave them the time of day.

Now, most congressman do not have to listen to a minority because they have their own congressman who doesn't listen to them at all. He/she simply race bait and stay elected. They pad their pocket well on the way, too.
They don't deliver shite.

Minorities made their bed and get nothing but lip service on how bad whitey is.

There are 22 Minority-Majority districts in the U.S. out of 435. It doesn't even register on the top issues affecting our political system.

Somehow a lack of zoning is responsible.

Queen Sheila doesn’t mind having a few nice neighborhoods, but she avoids Hispanics, especially Mexicans. She can’t have another minority challenging her reign.

One side would end majority minority districts tomorrow which would make policing gerrymandering much easier. Our country would be much better for it.

I'll let you guess which side that is and which side that isn't.

Hated all you want, but Sheila Jackson Lee is a brilliant politician.

She keeps getting elected year after year after year with putting minimal effort into her district. She knows who the players are in that area, she will help put money together for a victim cause or to put up a church roof. That's it.

I mean it goes both ways. I am in Kingwood and our district is crazy looking. We do have the pirate as our congressman though.

Some of you have no clue about how gerrymandering works.

That solid blue Texas district was gerrymandered to win more Republican house seats. Here's an explainer for ya.

RA'd for Poli board.
