One of my best friends was run over by a drunk when he was 14 and killed almost instantly. The drunk in question turned out to be a 25 year old who was the nephew of the sheriff. Somehow all the paperwork and evidence disappears overnight and they weren't able to convict him for killing my friend. Never looked at the justice system the same way again.

I knew a guy who jumped off the Huey P Long bridge in NOLA on Super Bowl Sunday a few years back. I don't think they ever found the body.

I had just seen him and talked with him that Friday night before. He seemed fine.

Wow that's heavy duty.

Had a good friend die his Freshman year at Auburn.Riding around in a Volkswagon Thing, top down, dirt road,Girl driving,

It slid and flipped throwing everyone but him clear.Landed on his neck.

He went off to School and never made it back.
Sad.Was one of my hunting buddies.

The worst to watch was a guy that had drank himself to death.Straight vodka or vodka and gatoraide.

I've never seen someone suffer right there in front of me like that.

He moved in with a mutual friend. It was sort of a rehab for him. They were giving him 1 1/2 oz of Vodka every 4 hrs or so.

It flipped me out.I'd never seen anyone crawling out of their skin.I gave him a couple of xanax.A Doctor had just given him Klonopine.

Didnt know the person, but the only thing I can think of is my grandpas best friend when he was a kid. His friend got killed by a train, I think he was laying on the train tracks, looked up, and the train went headon into his head. I'm pretty sure he got decapitated.

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it a little more there was a kid back from my elementary school that was in Florida, and his brothers accidentally locked him out on a hotel balcony. Well, he tried getting down to the balcony under him and fell about 10 stories and died. This was about 15 years ago.

Some years ago, was drinking with buddies and shooting pool at a bar in Birmingham. One of our friends said his goodbyes and left heading southbound down Hwy 280 going back to Mountain Brook. HWY 280 is now one of the most congested areas of Birmingham but then it was almost like a country road.

Anyhow, he comes up over the rise by the waterworks and a truck hauling a large flatbed trailer had made an illegal u-turn......jacknifed the flatbed completely cross the southbound lanes. Before they could get the rig unstuck or secure the road. My buddy who was drunk came flying down the road, over the rise, and under the flatbed decapitatng himself,

Best man in my wedding was playing golf with 3 of us, none of any good whatsoever, more of a drinking outing. He blew a chip shot, took his wedge & slammed it against the cart, the iron broke in half & one end penetrated his throat. When he pulled it out, in shock, he started bleeding & ended up dying 3 days later. Wife of 2 yrs was expecting their first child. My history professor at Nicholls & his wife & son were on vacation passing a lumber truck when one of the chains holding the logs on the truck snapped. The log fell on the wife & son, crushing them to death, missing him completely on the other side of the car.

Awhile back in my hometown a middle aged man was unloading one of those huge shipping containers from the back of an 18-wheeler when it shifted and fell off the trailer landing on him and crushing him to death. Couldn't even imagine what that would've looked like.

Also in Bossier City traffic was backed up on I-20 do to another wreck and this lady was texting and driving when she decided to go around a car that was in the right lane. When she did she ran into the back of a log truck and one of the logs went straight through her windshield decapitating her and knocking her head into the back seat.

Two stories:

Family going home from a wedding gets hit by a drunk driver. 7 year old in her bridesmaid wedding dress gets decapitated. When EMS gets to scene, mother is holding the childs head in her lap crying.

Guy gets 3rd degree burns from head to toe nearly 100% total body surface area. He comes into ER immediately. He can talk, walk, act completely normal. He has minimal pain. He is trying to joke with the medical staff but everybody knew he would likely be dead within a few hours.

4-wheeler accident. He got flipped over, landed on his head at a weird angle, broken neck. Dead instantly.

He was only 22. RIP J.K.
same thing happened to a buddy of mine who was also 22. Happened right by my house. RIP C.S.

i dont want to sound mean, but

They've cremated him
was this necessary? im asking seriously.

Yes. He was burned up quite bad. From what I gather the only way to be able to have a funeral that people could be in the same room with his remains was to go ahead and cremate him. I'm not 100% sure on exactly why this is but in guessing it from the smell. I remember the smell of burnt bodies from the First Gulf War. It's not a smell you can cover up and it sticks with you.

The guy who was hanging out of a truck window puking while his drunk friend swerved into a telephone pole guide wire decapitating him is at the top of my list.

Decapitated body was still in the truck in the driver's driveway while he was sleeping it off.

Cops had to literally go head hunting.

I graduated high school with that guy. Sad and strange. His best friend was driving and had to be put on suicide watch for a while.

I was friends with a kid whose father was stabbed to death. I knew him very well. He attended church with my parents and his wife and my mother were close friends. Anyway he ended up leaving his wife for his secretary and then he ended up being stabbed to death not long after. My parents thought the secretary's husband might have murdered him in a jealous rage. Anyway, I don't know if that case ever got solved.
