I know they were all considered horrible when they were made. I look at them now and think, " I could probably work on those."

We bought a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport as a commuter car for my wife.

I knew the mechanical reputation their 2.4L engine had. But the 100k mile warranty and being anal retentive in oil changes lowered my concerns.

We bought new at $21k and paid off in 3yrs.

Just reached 120k miles. Had the dealer give the engine block an acid bath at 98k miles. Engine consumes 1qt/1000mi. I meticulously keep oil topped and changed regularly.

Takes effort but no payment feels great

I think it was '94. She was an AOII at SLU, you wouldn't know her.

I think there’s some confusion after reading the responses. Can a disposable car be super reliable, like the Isuzu trucks, or disposable meaning cheap shite that won’t last?

Pontiac Grand Am

Best to just crack all the plastics inside with a hammer the day you purchase it.

I haven't walked into a Ford dealership since the 1980's.

My lumina lasted for 8 years. I got it when it was 7 years old.

What a fine ride.

Mini Cooper. Value drops like a rock after being bought new, parts are hard to get, and cost more than the car is worth.

2nd place: Any newer model Chrysler product.

Actually I knew most of the AOII’s back then so I’m positive I knew her.
