I wear Ecco. Because I live in DC I opted for the GoreTex dress shoes so I can walk in mushy snow and icy puddles.

Never had to "break in" an Ecco yet.

If you have to ask, big boy, you can't afford it.

I've had a few pair. They are good shoes for $100-150 and hold up fairly well. I've spent similar amounts on Cole Haan and the soles have split in 6 months.

Cole Haan Zero grand. I could run a few miles in them and my feet would feel fine.

Johnston and Murphy Kingston cap toe. Hell any J&M. I have many pairs and they are all fantastic.

AEs are always “in” as they’re a classic. I picked up some Clif’s while in Europe a few months back. I have no idea if they actually register anywhere on the same scale as AE but they’re calf skin with true leather sole. They’re my go to if I don’t feel like roughing up my park avenues
