Is it that surprising? Baton Rouge has a smaller population and two universities with a much larger combined enrollment than the universities in New Orleans. (Plus UNO has a lot more commuter students/older adults returning to school).
Baton Rouge also has a lower cost of living so you can actually afford to live there if you're at an early point in your career.

I've always wondered where all the hipsters and millineals in Austin live. It's pretty expensive if you don't live in the 'burbs' and most of these people don't have real jobs.

Just saying you see tatted up hipsters with blue hair walking around all over. Most aren't 'kids' and I doubt they have professional jobs. Going out to eat at lunch and all of these people are out in their hipster get ups. Just curious where they all work as Austin is quite expensive.
