the only reason I know Morgan Wallen is because he was already cancelled a few months ago for partying at a bar right before he was supposed to be on SNL
I've probably heard his songs before but I wouldn't be able to tell you that it was him singing

Fair enough. He's pretty good imo. Just released a double album with like 30 songs but stays getting in trouble. Broke a window while he was drunk at Kid Rock's bar on Broadway over the summer.

Playing the victim card is one of the main reasons the black culture struggles so much in our society. They have never been able to rise above it. It's a us vs them mentality. But I agree with you 100%. I would hate to be famous in 2021. Can't do anything without being scrutinized. He made a mistake, but damn if the whole world is gonna try to cancel him for life over it.

I agree kids have it tough these days. They grow up listening to genres of music where the n word is acceptable. But they are supposed to know those words are ok for certain people but not them. It's gotta be confusing for a 14 year old to figure out.
I was recently around a group of various race (blacks, Hispanics, White's, Asain's) teenage friends. (I'm not creepy, neighborhood pickup basketball game)
And it was interesting that among a group of friends the N word was acceptable and used as a friendly gesture and everybody was called it. Not just the black kids, but once those kids leave that group of friends the word becomes hate speech. What a mixed signal society is sending out.

I always swore I would never be the type who loses touch with popular music, movies, TV, etc.
I sadly have no idea who this is. I promise you I'm certainly not proud of it nor do I find it brag worthy. It means I am older than I realize and probably should stop wearing crop tops while I'm at it
