Golf you have constant green fees but avid cyclists pay for races or centuries or club rides and helmets and spandex kits and shoes and GPS and there's always something needing replaced on a bike.

You can get into cycling for much less than golf, but it's also easier to rack up massive expenses in cycling if you want to (this is assuming you're not counting a country club membership)

Now this is debatable, it all depends on boats and property I guess.

Have you seen what green fees cost? You can ride your bike for free.

It cost money to play golf.

Green Fees
Balls
Beer/liqour
Tips
Lunch
Beer/liqour

I can easily spend $300 every time I play golf.

Golf is way more expensive that bike riding.

There are dues and/or green fees with golf plus clubs, carts, beer, etc. With cycling, you just buy your gay outfit and your bike to use while annoying motorists and you are done. Is it that hard to figure out?

I spend 2-3 bills a month.
No big deal.

i bought a steel-frame American handmade bike Gunnar Roadie used in great shape with pedals and good components, for under $400. Similar buy with a mountain bike.

Spent a little more for helmet, shoes, and maintenance/repair tools/stand/supplies. Used multi-bike rack.

For well under $1500, I can ride pretty much anywhere, any time. I don't need to pretend I'm the world's best at exercising and shave fractions of seconds off my time.

Outside of a few grand on a good bike, what exactly are the reoccurring costs associated with cycling?
