a kid can get to point a to b pretty easily in pool but hard to learn to tread water and breathe. Big step.

teaching a kid to ride bike no training wheels can be pretty traumatic as well. i suggest xanax.

Invite over some kids a couple years older that can already do those activities. Peer pressure goes both ways.

Prolly bike.

With swimming, you just keep throwing them back in the middle until they drown, or tread water.

That's how I learned at Lake Castle summer camp.

Sorry your kid is so uncoordinated. Gonna make it rough trying to find a travel ball team to pick him up.

People naturally tread water, people don't naturally ride a bike

its why they can't swim or ride bikes, they can never do either w/out taking the bat and glove out of hands.

I'd say tread water.

My nephew used a bike that doesn't have pedals, you just push yourself along on it, and it helps them to learn to balance. Once he got really good at that, they bought him a regular bike, and first time he just took off, no issues.

Xanax and swimming? Xanax and bike riding? Hm … that's novel.

Got it. I thought there was something I was missing there.

what do you tell a kid to do, flail arms to side kicking with legs down, tell them to do the puppy dog?

We spent a lot of time and money teaching our kids to learn how to not drown. As for a bike?

Push and tell them to go fast.

I've never even heard of anyone teaching a kid to treas water so for me I'll go with the bike.

Although, if a kid has to be taught to tread water in the first place, maybe that's harder.

well when they swim, the run out of air, try to breathe, they basically stop and then drowning commences.

Frog kick with your arms going side to side in deliberate, controlled motions. Also, keep your fingers together
