I know they need water, but why not just run the stills hidden in a barn?
It's a closed system and the fire used is a gas fire....there would be no smoke. (like a crawfish boil)

As to your question, many stills have been set up in barns. The problem is the barn ties the still to ownership. If it's out in the woods, then you have plausible deniability.

My grandfather did his in a barn, but they had an agreement with the sheriff. When you have larger operations, you have to worry about competition, the law, and equipment failures (blowing up). You don't want any of those tied to you, or on your property. Other producers are a problem. Think rival drug dealers.

I saw it because I'm stuck in bed from surgery. But I do find it funny bitches like you comment trying to put me down, but use characters from some other random shows to make your point. All your doing is proving you watch those shows religiously.
