So...your Christmas morning has arrived. I'm thrilled for you!
I just hope Santa has room to slide down your solar-panel chimney. He gonna be big mad if you haven't set him his cookies and hot cocoa.

Nice lunar vid from Mission Control! (B&W transmission being sent a la 1969 Kubrick production of the "robotics payload".)

Should have aborted when lander lost its internal guidance computers. The NASA lidar on board wasn't designed for a guided controlled decent to the surface. Engineering was literally flying blind.

You forgot Tang and Pop Tarts.
VERY clever indeed. (It's just that there's no "Moon" to land on. OR "space." R&D did their part -- and I commend them )

19th century "astronomers" named certain lunar features "seas". (Of course they thought it was a physical rock too.)

As FLAT as the ocean. (Or pancake).
I pity the fools who still think we live on a 1000 mph spinning ball, hurdling AROUND the sun at 66,000 per hour...AS the Sun itself hurdles through the imaginary universe.

Spinning Ball? 1000 mph? 66,000 mph around the Sun? Yes or no? Do you feel it? See it? How can you be sure of any of it? (Serious question)
