Honestly? We just don't care about things that aren't real. That simple. No biggie.

Who wants to do a quick side by side of pics from the moon, Apollo missions vs current day private sector?

Yeah, I didn't think so.

I’d be very interested to hear what you do for a living. Something tells me you probably make about 50k a year and don’t have driver’s license, because you don’t drive, you “travel.”

I’d like to know how we had live video in 1969 but today in 2024 we just get high fives from a control room.

There was a camera on the lander that was supposed to dropped out just before landing to capture live video from a 3rd person POV of the landing. Not sure if that was ever intended to be live or not but suffice it to say we haven't seen the video yet.

If, all told, this is all legit......you know the guy who fricked that up is considering faking his own death right about now. He ain't ever gonna hear the end of that shite.

Have the moon aliens let the probe start working yet. Glad to see our ban is over but me land on the moon and same day 1/2 of cell phones go out. Coincidence? I think not

I'd just like to point out that, within the very recent past, Russia, India, Israel and Japan all failed to stick their landings on the moon. Two US private companies - Intuitive Machines with an assist from SpaceX - nailed it.

Editing a production video takes time.

I highly doubt it was supposed to be live. They knew they would have communications issues with the lander after it touched down. They weren’t sure how long it would be, could have been minutes or hours. When they ended they had multiple antennas trying to pinpoint the craft to search for a signal. No way a tiny camera would have been able to transmit it back to Earth in “real” time.

why not just have the president pick up the rotary bell telephone and call the lander to see what's going on like we did in 1969?

There was no live feed of the Apollo landings. All we got were views of Mission Control and the radio communications of them and the astronauts.
