They've had 994 cases since early March. I wonder how many active cases are in the county?

I have no idea if that’s true or not, but Montgomery is surrounded by the black belt and a whole lot of poor, unhealthy people with limited access to hospitals so if any place was going to get hit like that, I could see it being Montgomery.

fricking Montgomery.

Just like I 85 got totally renovated before the 59/65 junction in Bham. The state will use this Montgomery bullshite to shut down the state again. Write it down.

My neighborhood in Birmingham is full of people who were born in Montgomery.

That is over 2 months.

They must have virtually no ICU beds

I covered at the main hospital there last weekend. 50% of my patients and admissions had covid. Many were accidental finds....needed a ct of the chest for something unrelated and found typical covid changes. Montgomery is a hot bed right now.

There are 3 hospitals there with good ICU units. Not sure I believe this report.

Yep. Thing is, you can impose all the stay at home orders you want but it won't make any difference to these people. They are not going to listen or comply anyway.

Mayor Reed and the hospital should have used these two months of lockdowns and curve-flattening to saddle up. They didn't. Who is to blame right now?

I live next door in Prattville. I don’t know anyone who has or has had covid. No one I know, knows anyone who has or has had covid. These are truly strange days.

There were 10 people on a construction site working on Bryant-Denny stadium who tested positive for COVID19.

Over half of those have come in the last 2 weeks. Montgomery hospitals also serve most of the surrounding counties, and those counties have also seen a large increase in the last two weeks.

They actually did use that time to load up on supplies, ventilators, etc. The 3 Baptist hospitals in Montgomery and Prattville have a combined 88 ventilators. As of yesterday, 50+ were in use.
