You couldn’t pay me to live in Monroe or LC for an extended period. Sounds awful

You must be talking WAY back, because I know for at least the past 25 yrs it was off Louisville. I must not be as old as you guys.

I grew up in Luna, on 557. That place is 100 times a better place to be than Baton Rouge!

I've made a great living down here, but y'all can have it......I'm going home!

Lotta pussy in the 30-50 yr old range, screaming to frick a college dude back in the '80's.

I liked fricking the Branding Iron cowgirls more, though.....

Family is there.....land is cheap......money goes farther.....

I lived by Gladney Loop in 92, then transferred to NOLA and built in Belle Chasse....

If I remember correctly, it was east of Bon Aire on the south side of Desiard at the first intersection with a signal... close to Library and Siesta. Opposite corner of where Cooter Bay was

Pecan? It's quiet and peaceful and friendly there in Raytown. I understand the family aspect. I grew up south and east of town in the country. Family land is still there. Hell, I might do the same. Home is always "home".

Does no one remember Cuco’s chips and Margaritas taking the place of supper? Nice when your buds worked there and hooked you and your date up with nothing but top shelf.

I just moved back to Monroe. Got a good job which kinda fits the narrative of this thread before it got derailed by what bars were cool here in the 80's. You can check all of the boxes on that list except for cheap housing. Trust me, Monroe people think their houses must be made of gold for some of the listings I have seen. I can't understand it either since there is a glut of homes on the market right now. Some listings have been on the market for years.

Our family sold off most of the land we had for a golf course 20 or so years back and since then prices have steadily gone up while its still the same area
