I don’t buy it. Monroe is Monroe but the most dangerous in the country?

A new study says the same thing.
Neighborhood Scout.com ranks Monroe number one out of 100 as the most dangerous cities in the country.

The ranking is per capita, which is based on population. So, while Detroit has more crimes than Monroe-45,000 to our 6,000- our population is smaller. So, your risk of being a victim of crime here is higher. It says it's one in eight.

Those Lexington and Pargoud baws getting thefts all the time.

I imagine South Monroe looks quite like Somalia.

I think a number one ranking is a bit much and the per capita logic is somewhat skewed.

It's hard to believe my ancestors left Greece and Italy to put roots down in Monroe back in the early 1900's.

When I was growing up in the 90's Monroe was great. Hate to see it as a shithole!

even per capita I seriously doubt Monroe is that dangerous

I would surely think Shreveport per capita is more dangerous. sad I feel like a city a short drive away is saying "hold my beer baw"

Monroe would be the first city in history to juke crime stats in the wrong direction

Yeah it's all south of I-20. If you look at the occ bookings it's nothing but white trash from bawcomville in WM and South Monroe brothas.

Do they still send people to the pea farm in Ouachita Parish like they did back in the day?

their criteria is subjective. Not a person in this country with a brain thinks Monroe is more dangerous than Gary Indiana.
