This was the damn truth 25 years ago. Can't say if it still is.

Regarding the Long Island ice teas at Airport Lounge, still the truth. Not in the Airport anymore. It's called Nell's Airport Lounge and it's off Louisville and 3rd street.

I went back to catch a football game and visit with friends a few years back. I had heard that it was no longer in the airport. Saw the sign for it after having a nice dinner at Warehouse with the wife.

I slammed on the brakes and pulled in. Wife thought I'd lost my mind. I told her not to say a word. Bellied up to the bar and asked if this was the real Airport Lounge. The lady bartender smiled and confirmed that it was. I said "Then you know what I seek. I'll take 2."

She put down 2 huge styrofoam cups and made the best damn LIIT I've ever had. My wife gave me the look like WFT just happened. But with one sip, she knew. We stayed awhile and had at least 3 a piece.

Thanks for all the input baws, everything may suck, but at least it'll keep me busy! Sounds like there is much cooler shite to do here than I knew about, at least I've got some restaurants and bars to check out.

If you're into sushi head west over to Ruston and get you some Raw. I make sure to go every time I'm in the area.

How old are you? Some good suggestions, but I'd like to throw out SQ's again since it was glossed over. Very nice patio along the river. Close to Cotton and whatever that new place above it is. If you're later 20s or idle and only here for a month, I wouldn't stray from a rotation of:

SQ's
Cotton
Enoch's
Flying Tiger
Pickle Barrel

for drinks. There will be plenty of people at each. Unless you wanna go to Buffalo Wild Wings for the Homerun Derby or All-Star Game.

If you plan on tying one on, though, Id stick to Applebee's or O'Charley's or something right by you. Don't get caught having to drive drunk.

Does the Ouachita Brewery have a sit and sip setup like the Flying tiger?

Been here for 4 years. Enoch's down Louisville is cool. Field house down 165 near ULM is good for bar type food. Waterfront is legit. I've heard good things about sq's on the ouachita downtown. Flying tiger brewery and brass monkey are decent. If you like outdoors type stuff black bayou is a really nice place to walk/fish. I like restoration park off 20 in west Monroe a lot as well.

Go to Big Daddy's in Bastrop baw. Knuckle check required at the door, 3 scars or less and you can't enter. If you don't have a knife the door man will give you one. You're welcome.
