I don’t believe in abortion, every child should have a chance. Most children don’t even realize they were abused till adolescence or adulthood, because everything we experience is normalized. I know the general spirit of this board, is let her rot, but just wondering if there’s anyone out there that’s interested in understanding how people got to where they did, so we can stop this vicious cycle.

I misunderstood then. It looked like you were intimating better to be aborted than live a life of, and continue the cycle of abuse. My apologies. I agree with you then. I also have some empathy for people who were brought up in that cycle.

I believe everyone should have the freedom to choose to make bad decisions, but they should suffer the consequences of those bad decisions.

That being said, I think it'll be a hard sell for murder. Not feeding her baby would be extreme indifference for the life of her child. She made a terrible decision to do drugs and breastfeed, but I think in her own warped mind she was doing the best she could.

Preferentially, she never would have had the kid. Barring that, she shouldn't have been the guardian of the child. However, it is what it is. You'd hope that she'd learn a lesson, but I doubt that.

IMO, she should be given a choice. Get sterilized or go to court for manslaughter.

I am consistently amazed at the utter stupidity of new parents this day and age. Where I live in SC, the local jail is full of women who either tested positive for narcotics at the hospital or their baby tested positive. I understand the addictive nature of benzos and opiates, but we have alternatives to the continued use of narcotics. This is clearly depraved indifference, which meets the legal threshold of malice required for a murder conviction.

They don't know shite. They're a bunch of low-IQ thugs. Baby probably choked on a Mentos or something.

She won’t be convicted for murder. Murder requires intent. Unless she says, “I knew it would kill my baby and I wanted it kill my baby,” she won’t get murder.

If growing up around shitty, trash people automatically makes you a worthless frick up, I would already be dead or in jail because I grew up around fricked up people and things happening. I just knew I wanted more out of life and worked to get it, while also making the choice not to do stupid shite that would get me in trouble or derail my goals.

It’s all about choices. I’m tired of people playing the victim for making their own bad life choices that they knew better than to make. We all know right from wrong. Even from a young age.
