Mobile up 64 cases one day, 100 deaths, 15000 Tested

80% of people here are saying “screw it” and I can completely understand that sentiment, we are all over it. Test inconsistencies are really bad, local doctors office all got sick, notice of exposure to positive family and down for month. 12 tested, all were sick as sick, all had same Covid symptoms, 2 tested positive. Doc says bulllshit. Hearing the damn blood test for prior exposure are screwy too.

In Madison County (slightly smaller than Mobile County) we have had 4 deaths, those were early on. 272 total confirmed cases with 11,280 tested. New cases have been at a trickle. What's wrong with you people down there?

Mobile county has 40K more people but Madison has faired far better compared to Jefferson and especially Mobile.
Madison has the lowest % of positive tests in the state, if anything Madison is the huge outlier

You right. Though at recent growth rates that gap is likely narrowing by the day (and not just because of the Covid deaths).

I read that like over 80% are over 50.
It mostly has to do with the city allowing nursing homes to make their own rules. Those places typically have like a is for actual nurse on site.

Mobile also did have its own Mardi Gras. The spike in cases did start later but Mobile also started testing quite late.
I think quite a few of the nursing homes here been hit hard too. That obviously won’t explain the number of cases but maybe the deaths.
