I am well aware of the scope of the project. Go ahead and bookmark my previous post and you can let me know how far off I am in 5 years.

Except that politics has almost everything to do with it. Look at Montgomery and the city of Bham.

Looks like all government project except for 2? What am I missing here?
That's what I was wondering. It's a tax sink.

Best statement I’ve read on TD in a long time. I love the city, spend childhood and adult weekends there, also lived uptown different times. I wish they could fix the problems and make it great but….. they only make it worse it seems.

They need to put some tax money into coastal alabama. All the tax money has been going to birmingham for the last hundred of years

NOLA has so much untapped potential. Borderline impressive how they cannot get out of their own way.

NOLA leadership is incompetent at best, but it is a dead end to be a leader in that community because the State uses the city as a piggy bank to fund the rest.

New Orleans has to beg the state for tax dollars collected here then has the governor able to hand pick and staff local boards.

Would New Orleans be better off without State interaction? Maybe, maybe not. But the State holds just as much blame as to why New Orelans struggles to do anything.

But that is Louisiana as a whole really.

Mobile is only as small as it is due to the increased risk in hurricanes.

You can control this (your exit date) so not a legitimate flex.

It’s such a damn shame as to how far Nola has fallen .
I’m from there but live in mobile and wish i wanted to go back more often.
If there isn’t a good concert in town I’m not going there.
Honestly though mobile is on a fast track to be like Nola .
Demographics and all…
