They are the ones that determine preferred policy concerning “Special Education” aka SWE (Students With Exceptionalities). The states can lose federal funding by going their own route. In short, they are to public education what the CDC was / is to Covid lockdowns and masking.
Exactly, find a way to keep students with behavior issues due to “disabilities” in school, or lose federal $$$.

More days off for a job that already has 180 days off a year. Teachers are so fricking coddled...especially when you see what a joke our education system is.
This is a joke take.

School budgets outweigh municipal budgets in many cities. We spend more than almost any other nation, with far worse results.
They don't deserve more money.
I agree. Waste of funds in school systems is ridiculous. Often, so much money (especially federal) is poured in that districts have to quite literally look for something to spend it on.

Way too much administration and such. The system uses administration positions as a career track for teachers, when it should be administration supporting teachers.
My issues when teaching wasn't with the kids, but the administration.
