ABout time someone did.

quote:

"On behalf of the city," the mayor said, "I want to officially apologize to you publicly." Landrieu said that he had already apologized to the survivors privately but felt it was important and necessary to express that sentiment publicly.

For the most part, the people hurt and killed by NOPD were trying to find safety, the mayor said. But they "found terror," they "found death," they "found mayhem."

He acknowledged, "No amount of words and no amount of money is going to bring them back." But, he said, after all this time, the settlements that the city has reached with the families should serve as an indication that the city takes responsibility for what happened in those incidents.

We are now finished with the Clintons. I can't wait for the day that we are finished with the Landrieus.

Frontline did a solid piece on the post-Katrina injustices by the police. It is well worth the watch.

It'll be so funny when the scandal with his black mistress hits the papers.

But he'll be damned if he doesn't try. How much are we about to pay?

Does anyone else just want to see New Orleans burn? Between the shootings, crime, and trash I just have no desire to ever go back. Maybe if the Saints were above .500
