I am a student at the University of Missouri.
I am no expert on policy, politics, or educational leadership.
But I am observant, I am logical, and I am paying attention to what's going on around me. I will tell you that this protest has not been pretty, but it is not based on lies. I find this article to propogate and entire ideology which says that these problems don't exist. This protest is not a joke. I assume that you have not actually been on this campus to know what it feels like to be afraid to go to class because racism is so deeply entrenched in our culture here. The reason I don't like this article is becuase you've used strong allegations, some of which are not true, that people can use to cling to their existing ideas that everything is fine and we're making a big deal out of nothing. Well I'm here, I'm living it, and I'm telling you that everything is not fine. I'm not suggesting that I have the answers but I request that you think more about the weight that your words carry as a journalist and what that means for what students on my campus are literally risking their lives to change.

She's a drama queen who's somehow become emotionally involved in the protests. No one on the Mizzou campus is risking their lives to protest. Thats what i wanted to address directly and reply to her comment. She has provided no proof or facts in her post.

The "risking lives" part made me struggle.

That is not Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, or any of the African nations in a civil war. Its a fricking college campus in the middle of the US, and she has a facebook with pictures of her doing many great things....risking lives my arse.

In a way she is right. What if inclement weather showed up?

I risk my life everyday to come to work in rush hour traffic. There are so many SJWs on the road in Oregon and these Subaru driving hippies are shitty drivers.

First of all, you're free to transfer at anytime. Butler said he felt unwelcome and fearful from the moment he stepped on campus. So unwelcome and fearful that he's still there 7 years later

Secondly, wtf does that quote even mean? Are blacks getting beat up on campus on a regular basis? Is the Hambulger character running around dropping n-bombs?
