This is the email LSU just sent out. Bizarre
quote:
Dear LSU Community, LSU Police has been investigating the disappearance of one of our students, freshman Kori Gauthier, for almost 24 hours, and has been in close contact with her family throughout the day. Kori’s vehicle was found unoccupied at the scene of an accident early this morning on the I-10 eastbound side of the Mississippi River Bridge in Baton Rouge. Kori, pictured above (or view her image here), is 18 years old and is 5’5” and weighs between 115 to 120 pounds with dark brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on Kori Gauthier is asked to contact LSU Police at (225) 578-3231.

So she was coming from the west side of the river. That's interesting.

Yikes. Car running is a key point.

shite this poor girl jumped. God I hate it for her family and for her too. College years are so crucial for children and can really break some. I pray that my children don’t fall victim to whatever demons take control during those years.

Yeah. It's almost as if she wanted everyone to figure it out fairly quickly. It is hard to believe anyone acting normally would get out on the bridge if their vehicle was running and could be driven across to a safer location.

It was parked on inside lane on top of bridge and got rear ended. No one the car

I’m not saying it’s impossible. But it takes some nads to bridge jump. I just think an 18yr old girl jumping is improbable
You got downvoted but this is exactly my thoughts. There’s a reason that bridge jumping is so rare for suicide. Not saying it didn’t happen but it is not the method most people choose to commit suicide.

I’ve not driven across this bridge; is it possible to jump from the inside lane?? Not exactly sure why, but I picture someone jumping from the outside lane??
Praying she didn’t jump, but instead is holed up somewhere with a boyfriend her parents don’t like.

No it's just a concrete barrier in the middle/dividing the East/West lanes

90% chance this is a suicide. 10% chance of an abduction. At this point Police should begin dragging the river. (Maybe easier said than done depending on width and depth of river in that area).
Some POS boyfriend is not worth this. But if she jumped then the poor girl wasn't in her right mind. The college years are when mental health issues begin arising in most instances. If only she could have made it to her aunt's house.

I just don’t see someone parking on the inside lane of a bridge then crossing lanes on foot to jump off the other side and no one noticing. Didn’t the guy hit her car bc traffic was so heavy he couldn’t switch lanes??

Please quit saying POS boyfriend. He's a very good kid. He's by no means a POS. And this is definitely not the case. Her boyfriend is friends with my son and is saying that he's in disbelief of it too. He's been texting friends and is equally in shock. Freshman in college, catholic high graduate. Very good kid. Guaranty that he had nothing to do with this.

Gotcha. I’m just grasping at any scenario that delivers this child safely to her family.

Sounds to me it was late at night and he just ran into the back of it, probably was so dark... no heavy traffic..someone correct me if i'm wrong

Yes, he said he hit the car because another driver swerved and he had no choice because he couldn't change lanes.
Why did that driver swerve? Maybe she did run across. I hope to God she didn't.
Are there cameras up there?

I watch a lot of those murder shows on Court TV... you hear that all the time right before you find out he was the killer
