Not reading responses as I'm sure they are playing and being scary. But you have a bench warrant. But most likely no cop will bring you in on it.

Having said that you should still pay it in a timely fashion and expect to pay a contempt of court fee.

haven't had the privilage of being locked up, so I would like my turd cutter to stay the same size. Wasn't sure how a non moving violation like that works with the whole court thing.

New windshield and they couldn't salvage the old one, so on my way across the lake to get one since the car is registered in new orleans, he caught me

how new? pretty important question. was tape still on windshield and receipt still in car?

heck, every windshield replacement place i have been to will give you the break tag to keep on dash even if they cant adhere it back to windshield.

Not being on time with the law seems to be a recurring theme with you. As you are now a repeat offender, I hope the judge throws the book at you and gets you off of the streets and in a cell where you belong. Filthy animal.

Call them up ASAP and pay fee. Back in ancient times when I was a road Trooper, if I stopped you and you had a failure to appear, I brought you to jail(was policy). Do not know now since I retired in 1995. Your driver's license will be flagged and you can not renew plates, etc. Take care of it and move on....

kind of shitty he got the ticket in the first place. If he just got the windshield changed, he should have a grace period. I'm sure he had the paperwork from the old sticker.

Just go to the courthouse and talk to the cleck and see if they can add you to the docket. Plead not guilty.

If his sticker was current, he could retain it and not have to buy a new one(some limits). If it was expired, condition of the windshield is not revelant, other than the ability to renew if defective.

WTF? How'd it get that far? I'm two months late on my inspection sticker right now, but I don't know how you have court dates set.

oddly about Troopers. I've never had one ever run my license.

I was remarking on that the other day.

Kenner police always always run a background check. But troopers seem to want to hurry up and write the ticket.

Which is cool with me, seeing as I always have some benchW somewhere.

Strange, I always called in number. If the motorist had a clear record, he usually got a free pass from me that one time(within reason for stop and not a jerk). They now have on-board computers in the unit that scans the magnetic strip on your lic. Things that had not been imagined in my day! Hell, they even do the accident reports and e-mail to troop now.

I am not that damn old, but changes I have seen amaze me. Imagine what it is like for your grandparents if living. As for B&C, I would like to think I would have dispatched them with my now obsolete .357 wheel gun!!!

Do not do this. Call on the phone. If you go to the court house they will laugh while they are cuffing you. Call on the phone and pay the fee with a cc. There will be about $300 of additional costs. You will pay court costs, warrant, use of a credit card, and original fine, so make sure you have over $500 available.

Leave your dog at home.
