I'm no fan of USL, but was that written by a fifth grader?

Exactly. My whole point was how Lafayette idiots took it personal and fired back with a way longer article. Anyone in their right mind knows Lafayette isn’t a complete shite hole. I mean come on get some thick skin.

Lafayette is easily the second best "big" city in the state. Hell it has a few characteristics that are better than New Orleans in my mind.

Jackson would struggle to crack the top 5 in Louisiana.

Starkville would fall somewhere between Eunice and Kentwood.

Why does MSU continually agree to play these crappy games at Troy and South Alabama? You don’t see LSU or Alabama doing it. Why are we?

That's just silly. Bama and lsu play crappy teams too.

While this entire article was pure crap, his point was that MSU has played AT those school's. Bama and LSU wont travel to those places

State still salty about a baseball regional there a couple years back I think.

During the baseball regional, they had a different beat writer trying to trash Lafayette and his experience there. He was trying WAY to hard to talk trash.

After the dust settled with him, it turned out, he had stayed at the cheapest hotel he could find on the Evangeline thruway and only ate at shitty places.... Same dumbass logic as this guy and his trailer park relatives. No shite you had a bad experience

That’s a bit dramatic. Mississippi has plenty of good qualities and plenty of bad. JUST like Louisiana. No need to shite on another state to make yourself feel better

You mean hasn't been for quite some time? Like 5-6 years it hasn't been seen at all....

The one attraction in Starkville that isn't the college or a church:
quote:

Starkville City Jail
Although the structure itself is architecturally undistinguished, the Starkville City Jail has become world famous as the site where renowned country singer Johnny Cash was incarcerated overnight for public drunkenness on May 11, 1965, after performing at Mississippi State University. The event would perhaps have been forgotten had not Cash himself later immortalized it in his song, “Starkville City Jail,” first performed at a concert in San Quentin prison in 1969.

Leave Eunice out of this, pick Opelousas, Crowley, or Jennings if you must pick something in this area.

I would give Starkville the benefit of the doubt if they would just leave all those annoying cowbells at home. Good god whoever started that little trend needs a foot up their arse.
