The battle between sanity and PC in this country is lost, and PC has won. I wonder if its too late to turn things around.

A St. Paul, Minnesota elementary school has scrapped celebrations of Valentine's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas in order to honor the diversity of its student population.

I don't care what the ethnic make up of the school is. This is America. Celebrate American holidays. Assimilate or GTFO

What a tool.

“I have come to the difficult decision to discontinue the celebration of the dominant holidays until we can come to a better understanding of how the dominant view will suppress someone else’s view,” the principal noted.
What a tool.

If I had no other option to send my child to that school, then I would send them to school in holiday themed attire.

I understand non-Christians and Christmas, but Valentines Day and Halloween?
And Thanksgiving? What are they all immigrants?

Thanksgiving and Valentines day are American holidays, not religious ones. I could see why they didn't want to celebrate Christmas (separation of church and state, etc), but not the other two

This is so stupid on many levels. But to play the devils advocate, more than half the OT is offended by Black History Monrh and would fap gloriously if it were abolished.

So glad I'm able to afford good private schools

Why not recognize other holidays to be inclusive for those from other cultures?
Posted on 2/2/16 at 7:25 am to LSUTANGERINE
I have no problem with Black history month but if anything that celebrates white culture is considered racist.
