The sad thing is white soy boys think minorities love them, when in reality they're looked at even worse by your average black guy or Mexican for being self-loathing pussies.

I, too, assumed this was going to be revealed as an Onion article after Mitchell Erickson’s quotes. But alas, it seems to be real.
However, this:
is pretty absurd too. We can—and should—do better in the U.S. We should set an incredibly high standard for the rest of the world to aspire to. But perhaps our oppressed citizens should listen to someone from North Korea, or China, Iraq, Israel, wherever after whining about “white privileged.” We all are blessed with American privilege.
However, this:
quote:
Residents though have agreed to “check their privilege” and “protect people of color” by not involving law enforcement to report instances of property damage, according to the New York Times.

So true. Nobody respects a guy who doesn’t respect himself.

There is no part of America where this would be stood up to. People rabble on about "come down here and try that" etc but the reality is nobody is standing up to this insanity. Just excuses about having a mortgage and having to keep their job etc. So the insanity continues and it’s absolutely spread to all corners of the country
Um, no?

All this talk about defunding the police and getting rid of the police, it's hilarious. When all this talk first started I said the first thing that is going to happen is all the criminals are going to move there. I mean, any person with common sense should know this. These people are already regretting this decision and it won't be long before someone is dead.

Another resident, Mitchell Erickson, said he regretted calling 911 when two black teenagers cornered him a block away from his home, held a gun to his chest and demanded his car keys. Erickson said he mistakenly handed over his house keys, and the frustrated teens left him only to steal another car a few blocks away.
“Been thinking more about it,” Erickson said in a text message to a reporter. “I regret calling the police. It was my instinct but I wish it hadn’t been. I put those boys in danger of death by calling the cops.”
“Yeah I know and yeah it was scary but the cops didn’t really have much to add after I called them,” he continued. “I haven’t been forced to think like this before. So I would have lost my car. So what? At least no one would have been killed.”
I thought Spleen lived in Birmingham.

Bruh I live in Benton, Louisiana. I can assure you that the police would absolutely not put up with this. Neither would the citizenry.
There’s a reason why these things aren’t happening in red areas. It’s because these fricking losers know that they’d be met with swift justice one way or the other.

I just read the NYT article. Here are a couple of quotes from that one.
You don't say.
Of course it's not on them.
quote:
The influx of outsiders has kept Ms. Albers awake at night. Though it is unlikely to happen, she has had visions of people from the tent camp forcing their way into her home. She imagines using a baseball bat to defend herself.
Not being able to call the police, as she has done for decades, has shaken her.
“I am afraid,” she said. “I know my neighbors are around, but I’m not feeling grounded in my city at all. Anything could happen.”
You don't say.
quote:
Tobie Miller worries that a lot of what has been written about the camp on community message boards has been influenced by racial profiling. To the extent that illegal activity is going on in the park, Ms. Miller does not blame the tent residents. “My feeling around it is those are symptoms of systemic oppression,” she said. “And that’s not on them.”
Of course it's not on them.
