yes, because the baby boomers will finally die and all that stashed wealth will be freed up .....to increase taxes to pay the debt their grand parents amassed.

They will destroy all the progress made by Gen x that was originally caused by the Baby Boomers. Baby Boomers with Mellennials as kids from their 4th fricking marriage will be the worst.

I'm a millenial and no they wont be the greatest generation.

Most my age (22) were never taught a work ethic.
However not all the blame belongs on them. It was how they were raised. Also in some cases laws prevent younger ones from working.

I had my first job at 13.

The fact that the >40 year old crowd in here is enthusiastically shitting on the millennials while not realizing that they themselves raised the millennials and taught them everything they know is pathetic.

The millennials will do better than the baby boomers.

But the system was in place by the boomers

say you had a kid in 1995, at 25 years old. Were you in charge of the school system, new polices(corporal punishment). no child left behind, etc, etc?

Society effected your kid against your wishes.

Now the kid born in 1970, had to go to school in a desegregated environment, that his parents(boomers) en masse forced upon society.

So, I'd say that the 30-45 crowd is responsible for what now happens, not what has happened. Problem is though, the boomers life expectancy has gone up 50%(60-90) and are holding power(and money) longer and it's difficult to wrestle it away from their greedy selfish asses.

You guys are all so fuuked up stupid that it is highly doubtful ANYBODY will fix this shite.

#1. Not one of you have a clue as to when and why this country started to go to shite.

#2. Not one of you even has a clue as to who is responsible.

#3. Not one of you understands the money situation. Example: most think they are somehow paying FICA to support the old people. If you are one of these consider yourself amongst the super ignorant on this subject.

So keep on believing that some group designated by randomly chosen cutoff dates is good or bad while ignorantly voting into offices the ONLY people that really control this shite. Hint #1.: it ain't no fuukin age grouping that is fuukin it up and it ain't no age group whats gonna fix it. Hint #2.: the stuff whats bein fuuked up is bein done so one, two, and sometimes more generations before it negatively effects us .... except in oboma's case. Since he is (half)black they are allowing him to do shite that is effecting us negatively RIGHT FUUKIN NOW.

Really, REALLY !??! You believe this. You REALLY don't know who is holding the wealth? Comeon man, do some homework before making statements such as this. There is about 3 groupings of people which consist of a very small segment of the population that have "stashed wealth".

"grand parents amassed"? Whose grandparents? My parents and grandparents (people their age) paid their debts. I'm a grandparent now and can state that people my age have paid their debts. AND we have not taken a dam thing from YOUR gov't that we didn't pay for.

You talking about the debt the federal gov't has amassed? Even though you may be able to identify politician's ages with certain groups you need to re-think. The REAL grouping here is p-o-l-i-t-i-c-i-a-n.

The only existing amassed debt is due to politicians reckless spending to buy votes. No generation is responsible for this. If any of you are expecting some existing generation to somehow fix this please tell this old geezer exactly how that will happen because all I see in sight is that proverbial snowball. All the generations are in this snowball and we are all fuuked.

The hippies were certainly into consciousness raising via drugs. And now they are running the universities and education curriculum. Combine that with baby boomers spoiling their kids and you get millennials. The generation after the millennials is going to have to be the next great generation. They won't really have a choice any more than the WWII generation had a choice about it. By the time they come along this country will be broke financially, politically, and culturally.

You still don't get it. You want to talk about spoiling kids. That didn't start with the boomers, ... or even the greatest generation. It started with the industrial revolution. People came to the cities from farms. Parents had more money. Kids had more time. Every parent wants their kids to have it better (spoiled).

Please look at history instead of repeating what others have said.

The current generation of young people is a different animal than anything that has ever come before.

They are socially retarded due to social media addiction, incapable of normal relationships, inept at problem solving, have little to no work ethic, want a nanny government that gives them free stuff (e.g., love of Bernie), and do not understand the principles of freedom (including free speech).

In short, they are worthless and we are doomed.

Perhaps you are right. I think it may be too early to tell. People arise to the challenge when necessary. Yeah, the changing culture along with constant upgrades in technology has contributed to that snowballing effect.

My main concern for the future does not rely on any generation. It is that snake den in Washington that is not tied to a generation. I fear the millennials, generations before (still alive) and right behind will soon pay a price greater than any can imagine. I don't think any are ready. I don't even know how any can prepare.

I am a millenial taking advantage of a 401k employee match program at work. Very little debt. Throwing extra money in savings. And also working on setting up a side business for supplemental income.

If anything millennials, basically are the opposite of baby boomers, they take their financials seriously because they know social security is an unknown. We wont get the same perks as our parents did.

Way too many of them are just waiting on Mommy and Daddy to die so they can get their money. I have seen very few of them willing to work for anything other than weed money and X-Box. And then it is just shift work, because it "fits their schedule..." No drive, no ambition, no moral compass, no skills, just whiney-arse wants. There are a few outliers who want to succeed, but there aren't enough of them yet. Maybe they will grow up, but they weren't raised to be self-sufficient.

Millenials will probably start the next World War. Either because millenial leaders in the government were "triggered" because a foreign country dared to say something offensive to them and as we know any offensive or hateful speech must not be tolerated or they'll fall to pieces after being made to feel unsafe for having their safe space invaded.

Congratulations to you for your forward thinking. A great many boomers have their finances set, just as a fair share do not, banking on Uncle Sam to provide. Very unwise. Every generation has always believed they were better and superior than the preceding one. A dangerous belief. Some millennials better hold on to their Minecraft account since that will be the only house they ever own.
